Cylindrical Door Lock
What is Cylindrical Lock?
Cylindrical locks are common, versatile, and available in various finishes, door thicknesses, and strike options. They offer fewer decorative trim options compared to mortise locks but can be found in vandal-resistant models for added durability in high-traffic areas.
What are Lock Components?
Cylindrical locks include a lock chassis, latch bolt, operable trim (levers/knobs), and roses behind the trim. Keyed functions have a cylinder in the lever/knob, with traditional cylinders requiring full lock removal for re-keying.
What are Lock Benefits?
Cylindrical locks come in different grades for varying traffic levels. Grade 1 is for high-traffic areas, Grade 2 for moderate use, and Grade 3 for residential settings. They can be paired with deadbolts for extra security in some applications.
